size=5>日照，因“日出初光先照”而得名，位于山东半岛南翼，东临黄海，与韩国、日本隔海相望。地理位置优越，北上可直达北京南下可直通上海，西进可辐射中原大地，东出可出海直达国际市场。全市总面积5310平方公里，人口280.48万，现辖东港区、岚山区、莒县、五莲县及日照经济开发区、山海天旅游度假区。是中国东部沿海新兴的港口生态城市，具有四大发展优势、六大产业基础，规划建设成为能源、原材料工业和制造业基地、出口加工和物流基地、休闲旅游度假基地。生态环境优美。</FONT></P><P><FONT 日照依山傍海，山水共拥，属暖温带湿润季风区大陆性气候，既有南方空气湿润的特点，又有北方四季分明的特征，大气质量、海水质量、饮用水质量均为国家一级、一类标准，是无台风登陆的海岸及无地震的城市。日照是全国优秀旅游城市，2004年被评为中国魅力城市，百公里海岸线上有64公里的金色沙滩，拥有国家级海滨森林公园，列入世界吉尼斯大全的“天下第一银杏树”，佛教名山五莲山，春秋战国时期的莒国故城，亚洲最早的城市“两城遗址”。2005年欧洲级世界帆船锦标赛、2006年470级世界帆船赛、2007年首届全国水上运动会在日照举行。</FONT></P><P><FONT 海陆空交通便利。日照拥有两个均为国家一类开放口岸的天然良港，现与世界100多个港口通航，日照港是世界十大能源输出港之一，岚山港为中国北方最大的液体化工码头。现已建成各类生产性泊位29个，最大可靠泊30万吨级海轮，2004年两港完成货物吞吐量5100多万吨，2006年将突破1亿吨。日照港已开通了日照至韩国平泽的客箱班轮。境内有兖石、坪岚、胶新三条铁路和日竹、同三两条高速公路，120公里半径内有青岛流亭国际机场、连云港机场、临沂机场，均有高速公路与之相连。</FONT></P><P><FONT 资源优势明显。日照是北方少有的富水区之一，年均降水量870.3毫米，水资源总量16.4亿立方米，人均占有量是全省人均的1.7倍。境内有多种矿产资源，特别是非金属矿产资源量大质优，已探明储量的主要有石灰石、石棉、花岗岩、片麻岩、钾长石等，其中，石灰石储量达100亿立方米。日照绿茶、蚕茧、水产品、烤烟、花生等农产品享誉海内外，日照绿茶面积和产量分别占山东省的60%和70%，是中国江北最大的茶叶产区；水产品产量居全省第四位，全国最大的水产品批发市场就在日照的岚山。劳动力资源充足，占地24平方公里的大学城，目前有6所大学，另有2所大学近期即将进入，目前在校生有3.5万人。 日照市目前已形成以粮油生产为基础，以果蔬业、畜牧业、水产业和高效经济作物为支柱的农业产业体系，并建立起一批农副产品生产基地。日照是山东省最大的绿茶生产基地，现有茶园12万亩，年产茶叶1500吨，素称“北方第一茶”。桑园面积13万亩，年产蚕茧8000吨，分别居山东省第三位和第二位。目前全市农村已形成了农、林、牧、副、渔并举，农、工、贸全面协调发展的新格局。</FONT></P><P><STRONG><FONT 日照市工业门类比较齐全，已形成一定规模的工业体系。目前已发展到39个行业，90多个门类，工业产品达500多个品种，主要有机械、建材、轻纺、化工、食品、电子、造纸等骨干行业。生产的碾米机、五金工具、甘露醇、涤纶高弹丝、双胶纸、水泥、钢球、链条、花岗岩板材、石雕制品、丝绸、工艺品、水产品、畜产品等，在国内外享有较高声誉。 </FONT></P><P><FONT size=5><FONT 日照市第三产业发展迅速，已形成4个层次、12大类、20多个行业。近几年全市商业、旅游服务业网点迅速增加，并逐步向中高档发展，基本形成了以国有商业为龙头，以集体、个体、私营经济为主体的商业服务体系。饮食服务业方兴未艾，目前全市有各类宾馆、酒店380余家。房地产业迅速发展。全市范围特别是日照开发区、山海天旅游度假区、岚山开发区，已形成开发建设热潮，并已完成了一大批配套设施建设。目前已有一大批中外客商前来投资开发。</FONT></P><P><FONT 近年来，日照市内经外贸有了长足发展，且呈现大幅度增长态势。市场体系建设不断发展。安东卫海货城年交易额18.4亿元，1996年被国务院发展研究中心认定为全国最大的海产品交易市场。对外经贸保持快速增长。进出口商品主要有粮油、食品、水产品、纺织品、工艺品、化工品、建材等20多个大类100多个品种。目前，日照已与美国、日本、韩国、德国、香港等60多个国家和地区建立了贸易往来，对外贸易呈现良好的发展势头。</FONT></P><P><FONT 随着投资环境的不断改善，日照市利用外资步伐逐年加快，1990—2001年累计利用外资8.9亿美元。国际一些大财团、大商社纷纷来日照投资办厂，主要有韩国独资经营的大宇水泥粉磨厂、美国投资的岚山加德士沥青有限公司、德国和以色列投资的日照发电有限公司、日本投资的兖日水煤浆有限公司、香港嘉银集团投资的黄海粮油工业（山东）有限公司等。外商投资行业涉及机械、化工、电子、食品、建材、轻工、房地产、种养殖业和旅游服务等国民经济领域。日照市已成为外商投资的热点地区之一。 1875年，岚山头二村种菜户林相华，从日照引来一个叶小、叶柄呈黄色的芹菜品种，在园内栽培成活。1919年，林家父子同种菜户刘文远对新品种进行提纯复壮，由6分地扩种到3亩。经过长期栽培、选育，加之当地气候、水土等自然条件极为适宜，于是形成为一个具有独特风味的土特产品，被外地称为“岚芹”，畅销不衰。以后，种植范围扩大到安东卫一带。岚芹，株高一般70厘米，叶柄直径1.2厘米。单株鲜重150克左右，每株叶柄910个。岚芹叶小，叶柄实心，纤维极少，质地良好。</P><P> 日照旅游资源丰富。日照海、山、古、林兼备。境内百公里的海岸线上有64公里的优质沙滩，被有关专家誉为“中国沿海仅存未被污染的黄金海岸”；有奥林匹克水上运动公园、五莲山风景区、莒县浮来山风景区等一批国内外知名的旅游景点；有世界上最大的汉字摩崖石刻—河山“日照”巨书，天下银杏第一树—浮来山银杏树；江北最大的绿茶基地、最大的毛竹生长带、最大的野生杜鹃花生长带也在日照。日照是龙山文化的重要发祥地，境内已发现两城遗址、陵阳河遗址、丹土遗址、东海峪遗址等；陵阳河遗址出土的原始陶文较甲骨文早了1000多年，堪称我国文字始祖。莒文化与齐文化、鲁文化并称山东三大文化。日照还是西周时期伟大的军事家姜尚、南北朝著名文字评论家刘勰、诺贝尔奖获奖者丁肇中等名人的故里。齐长城遗址、莒国故城、日照港等也都是游客的必游之地。</FONT></P><P><IMG
