十月五日凌晨三点十分左右，老子故里冬泳协会水上义务救援队队长张正川在救援群里发来了一个微信，队员们看过后再无睡意。 穆店附近一村民（男、四十岁左右）因生活琐事于今天凌晨投河自尽。由于溺水时间已过去三个小时，加之夜晚不适宜打捞，经过与事主家人沟通后，定于今早七点打捞。

准时集结后，在冬泳协会秘书长付拥军的带领下，队员们奔向事发地点——穆店至杨湖口涡河桥上

据围观村民介绍，此段河水最深处可达七米，打捞难度相应很大。
